The Baltimore International Seafarers' Center is a nonprofit organization serving seafarers that call on the Port of Baltimore from all over the world and the port community as a whole.
Our mission is to facilitate the wellbeing of crew members by offering transportation ashore, advocacy for the rights as seafarers and human beings, and hospitality while here in Baltimore.
We are a member station of The Mission to Seafarers (missiontoseafarers.org) an international maritime ministry association based in London, partners in ministry with the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland (episcopalmaryland.org), and a proud part of the Port of Baltimore and thankful for the support of the Maryland Port Administration (mpa.maryland.gov).
Our Executive Director is the Rev. Joshua Messick. Josh is a priest in The Episcopal Church, a native of the Eastern Shore, and Port Chaplain for the Port of Baltimore. He can be reached at [email protected].
For more information about our work or to inquire about volunteer opportunities please email us at [email protected].
